What is the Canvas Conference?

We are so glad you asked!  Here is our overall vision:
The Canvas Conference humbly exists to inform all acts of human creativity and beauty with biblical, gospel-centered theology for the worship of the triune God.

Who Is Putting the Conference Together?

The Canvas Conference 2017 is a joint partnership between Humble Beast and Western Seminary.

 

Can I Get Class Credit for this Conference?

In conjunction with The Canvas Conference, Western Seminary will be offering a graduate level course entitled Creativity and the Christian led by Humble Beast’s own Dr. Ryan Lister. The class will include lecture, discussion, interviews, and interaction with Canvas speakers/performers. 

Register for the class and conference and receive a $75 dollar tuition credit from Western to cover registration costs! If you are already going to Canvas, you might as well get credit for it!

What is included in Registration?

Is My Ticket Refundable?

Unfortunately, once registered, we cannot refund your ticket. If you would like, we suggest transferring your ticket to someone else. If you would like to pursue this option, please email Samuel Nagel at samuel@humblebeast.com and we will help you with this process. Thanks for your radical generosity!

 

Do you Have any Discounts For Groups?

We sure do! If your group is more than 15 people, please email Samuel Nagel at samuel@humblebeast.com and we can address your registration options.  

 

Where Would You recommend I Stay in Portland?

Does the Conference Provide meals?

Unfortunately, no. We will have food trucks at the conference itself, which means good food for good prices.  Also, dining in Portland is an experience in and of itself.  We recommend you explore the restaurants throughout the city, including those near Imago Dei. We have included eating options on the aforementioned Accommodations page

 

Where Should I Park?

There is street parking around Imago Dei.  However, some of the suggested hotels on our Accommodations page are in walking distance of the conference.  

 

Does Canvas 2017 Have a Schedule?

Yes! We will publish the schedule soon.
